Nancy Duarte of Duarte Designs is one of the best graphics experts in the world. We at Find New Customers are huge fans of their work for Apple and top companies, so this TED talk caught my eye. Hope it does yours too.

She talks about the ability to communicate your ideas can truly change the world. It’s hard. You have to spread your ideas.

Jeff Ogden is President of the b2b demand generation and global marketing company, Find New Customers. On weekends, he is a dad, husband and avid (but lousy) basketball player and sports nut.

This is a very special Sunday learning episode, because we have a BIG announcement to make. The lady in this video is our upcoming guest on our Mad Marketing TV show! I cannot wait to interview her about how Zappos built a business on happiness. You can follow her on Twitter at DHMovementCEO.

Zappos.com built an enduring brand through customer service and company culture, but even more interesting is that they succeeded by using happiness as a business model. Drawn by the notion that anyone can apply the science of happiness to work, communities and our everyday lives, happiness has become the organizing principle behind a new business and now, a movement.

Jenn Lim is the CEO and Chief Happiness Officer of Delivering Happiness, a company she and Tony Hsieh (CEO of Zappos) co-created to inspire happiness in work, community and everyday life.

Sundays are for learning at the global marketing firm Find New Customers. We have a simple goal - to share fresh ideas and insights on Sundays. The idea is that in 20 minutes or less, you can come away with new ideas and insights.

I’m a huge believer in the power of failure - it shapes us and makes us stronger. How are you embracing failure in YOUR business? For more insights, check out this earlier post. What’s the Real Key to Success? It’s Failure!

David Damberger discusses “Learning From Failure” at TEDxYYC 2011. (13 minutes long) Here’s the link he discusses, Admitting Failure.

David is the founder of Engineers Without Borders Calgary (EWB). After building the organization in Calgary and working with them in India, David spent four years building EWB’s overseas programs as the Director of Southern African Programs. In this role, David consulted for dozens of African based companies, non-profits and governments in the fields of agriculture; food processing; water and sanitation; and mobile applications for development.

David currently works as a corporate strategy consultant and is a co-founder of Ethical Ocean, an e-commerce marketplace for the worlds top fair-trade, eco-friendly and sweatshop free products.

David holds a degree in engineering and a minor in entrepreneurship from the University of Calgary. He is also a Social Entrepreneurship MBA candidate at the University of Oxford. Recently, David was recognized as the youngest member of the Top 40 Alumni in the History of the University of Calgary.

David will be drawing on his work experience in Africa to speak about the transformative power of publicly admitting failure in the development aid sector which currently lacks accountability, creativity and transparency.

Sunday Post: TED video | The Battle between your present and future self

Here at Find New Customers, Sundays are for learning. It is our tradition.

We curl up with a coffee with my wife and our kids - and the Sunday New York Times (the only day we get a paper paper. Most days we read papers on our iPad2.) And since we consider Sundays for learning, we love to share these outstanding TED videos, so you can learn with us.

If you are not familiar with TED, it is super-smart people sharing fascinating information. This one, by Daniel Goldstein, is just 16 minutes long - a worthy investment of time on Sunday, I think. I watched it and found it fascinating and bet you will too.

http://www.ted.com Every day, we make decisions that have good or bad consequences for our future selves. (Can I skip flossing just this one time?) Daniel Goldstein explains how to use “commitment devices” (Like tying oneself to a mast) that help us imagine ourselves over time, so that we make smart choices for Future Us. He also shows some very cool simulations which show the trade-off between you and your future self.

Monday to Friday, Jeff Ogden is the President of the B2B demand generation company Find New Customers and host of the awesome marketing show, Mad Marketing TV. During the week, Find New Customers helps companies design and deploy world-class demand generation programs - filling sales funnels with ready buyers.

On weekends, he’s a dad, husband and avid (but lousy) basketball player.
