Having been through the process of founding RAIN Group with my business partner, John Doerr, I know just how difficult it can be for a young, growing business to get off the ground.

You’ve got a great idea that people have told you will succeed, outstanding content, and the people in place to make it all come together. Problem is, when it comes time to launch, you’re just not generating the business you thought you would.

More often than not, this is a direct result of the fact that many entrepreneurs simply have not been taught how to sell. And even experienced salespeople struggle to sell in an entrepreneurial environment where there are unique challenges to selling new ideas or selling against big, well-branded competitors.

As good as your business idea might be, it’s not going anywhere if you can’t sell it.

Fortunately, it’s never too late to learn.

To help you out, I’ve made a series of video training lessons specifically for entrepreneurs and sellers in growing businesses. They’ll teach you everything you need to know about how to make the sales that will help your business achieve the growth you’re looking for.

Specifically, you’ll learn:

  • The most common sales mistakes entrepreneurs sellers at growing businesses make
  • How to avoid these mistakes
  • The unique challenges of selling in an entrepreneurship and how you can overcome them
  • A step-by-step guide on how to communicate your value
  • How to lead masterful sales conversations that result in new business
  • The simple formula to make millions of dollars in sales

The first video in the series is available now. And the best part is, I’ve made the series available to you for free! Note that these are not quick-tease videos. This series contains 60 minutes of value-packed RAIN Selling content.

So head over to EntSelling.com and check it out. I guarantee it’ll be worth your while.

The Awesome Power of Story-Telling

B2B Demand Generation | The Power of Story-Telling

Tom Peters, the famed management guru, and author of The Little Big Things, says it best. “Story’s more powerful than the brand and the best story wins.

Why do my kids and I love shows like Breaking Bad, Rescue Me, The Walking Dead,

Walter White

Breaking Bad

MadMen, etc.?

They all have one thing in common. They are all great stories.

The business with the best stories wins.

Find the stories in your business and watch it prosper!

Here’s a free tip - find the story-tellers in your business. They’re probably where you least expect them. (Some of your older employees, for instance.)

How to Get Millions of Dollars in Sales

Just a quick heads up that RAIN Group has just released the third free video in their Entrepreneurial Selling video series. And this one’s a doozey. You don’t want to miss this video because it provides the missing link between the value you offer and the millions of dollars in sales that you could be earning.

Sure, I could tell you what the missing link is right now in this email, but that would ruin the surprise. Check it out for yourself, by clicking Watch the Videos below.

Watch the VideoP.S. If you missed the first two videos, don’t worry, if you sign up to watch this one you’ll also receive the link to watch the others. I highly recommend you check them all out.

Find New Customers mourns the passing of Steve Jobs

This morning Find New Customers mourns the passing of Steve Jobs, who passed away last evening at the age of 56.

Steve JobsThe man who gave us the iMac, the iPod, iTunes, iCloud, iPhone and iPad - thank you, Steve and God Bless. You touched many lives in so many good ways.

But we should also recognize Steve for perseverance in the face of failure - Lisa, Next and getting fired from Apple - most would have considered those career-ending setbacks. But Steve did not give up. After the Apple board fired him, he helped found Pixar before returning to Apple. Cancer finally did what failure never could do.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Steve’s family, but today we also recognize Steve’s lesson for all of us:

Failure is not a death sentence

What do you think? What lesson did Steve’s life teach you?
