Plaxico is now a Jet. I heard all the recriminations from Giant fans and other who all fought

long and hard but lost out. Lots of Giant fans thought Plaxico should have been more loyal to his former team. But that misses the point.

Seems to me the reason the Jets won is a life lesson for all of us.

Be a friend when a friend is down and out. That’s when they REALLY need you.

Plaxico was down and out when, after shooting himself, he went to prison for two years for illegal weapons possession. And while he was in prison, one NFL team visited him. That’s right. When he was “persona non grata” one team paid respect. Guess which team that was?

That’s why Plaxico is a Jet.

And I ask you, when is the last time you helped a good person who was down on his or her luck? When no one else cared?
