What Type of Content Should My Company Produce?

That’s the tagline of Mitch Joel’s popular book and, without question, companies need to embrace a publishing mindset in B2B marketing. With great content, business sales leads are almost impossible to obtain. I’m continually amazed by the number of B2B sellers with either no content or terrible, self centered content.

Mitch Joel, President of Twist Image, has penned an interesting post in his Six Pixels of Separation blog. (We thank Mitch for permitting us to summarize his great post here.)

He says that Marketers must accept the fact that they are no longer just Marketers. They are Publishers. And that they need a Strategy (no more isolated events)

What makes content engaging? Mitch says it can be summed up in two words: Value-Based Content. That means your content must be valuable to your reader. No more content for the sake of content.

How to turn a good white paper into a great lead generation piece
